He has fished these waters for over 50 years and has extensive knowledge and expertise on reservoir fishing for all species.  He is the author of the popular Southern New York Fishing Directory, the local fisherman's bible. The N.Y.C. reservoirs offer some of the best year round freshwater fishing opportunities found anywhere in the northeast. The best fishing is usually from a rowboat (no motors allowed). There are a total of 21 N.Y.C. reservoirs; 15 are located in Westchester and Putnam Counties and six (6) located in the Catskills. Practically every species of fish can be found in the reservoir system and each year many of the largest fish caught in New York State originate from these reservoirs. There is no charge to obtain a N.Y.C.D.E.P. reservoir access permit or to place 1 or more boats on the N.Y.C. reservoirs.
